Expanded to include national societies operating under the Red Crescent emblem across the Islamic world, the movement established a global framework for humanitarian aid, emergency response, and wartime medical protection.To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Red Cross (Red Cross Centenary / الذكرى المئوية لهيئة الصليب الأحمر), the postal administration of the Yemen Arab Republic (الجمهورية العربية اليمنية) issued this $1/4$ Bogsha postage stamp ($1/4 \text{ B. / } \frac{1}{4} \text{ بقشة}$). The design features outstretched hands reaching toward a stylized vessel carrying a Red Crescent symbol, set against a soft blue gradient sky to represent hope, humanitarian protection, and international aid.
