A key milestone in this effort was the modernization and expansion of the airfield at Al Hudaydah (Hodeida), transforming it into a vital international airport serving the major Red Sea port city and boosting regional economic development. Issued in 1964, this commemorative postage stamp celebrates the Inauguration of Hodeida Airport (افتتاح مطار الحديدة).
